FTBA’s first endorsement issued in the organization’s history
AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis today earned an endorsement from the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association (FTBA) and spoke at their annual convention today in Amelia Island. FTBA changed its bylaws to be able to endorse candidates, making this the first endorsement issued in the organization’s history.
“Our transportation construction industry is vital to a strong economy and quality of life here in Florida, and our construction workforce is an important part of keeping our state free and open. I am honored to have received the support of FTBA, a strong voice for the transportation construction industry in Florida,” Governor Ron DeSantis said.
“On behalf of the Florida Transportation Builders’ Association (FTBA) board of directors, I am pleased to announce that FTBA – the voice of the transportation construction industry – has endorsed Governor Ron DeSantis in his re-election campaign to continue leading our great state forward,” Henry Mayfield, Chairman of the FTBA Board of Directors, said.
FTBA represents thousands of individuals who work in the construction of transportation systems and furnishing materials, equipment, and services for construction.
- This announcement follows several other endorsements of the Governor’s re-election campaign by the Florida State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police, Florida Police Chiefs Association, Florida Police Benevolent Association, and Florida Professional Firefighters.
